Loretta Zapp, Chief Executive Officer, President
Loretta Zapp provides valuable experience in management, business development, marketing and technical due diligence. At AFS she is responsible for strategic initiatives and plays a key role in the company's growth and development.
Prior to joining AFS, Loretta was President of Industrial Laboratories Company, Inc., an independent testing laboratory based in Denver, Colorado. As President, Loretta was instrumental in the growth and success of the company, developing the company from a small enterprise into a globally recognized analytical laboratory providing services for companies ranging from GNC to Bayer and Pfizer. During her tenure at Industrial Labs, she founded the Institute for Nutraceutical Advancement (INA) and designed a program to support and promote the production of consistent, high quality herbal products.
Prior to Industrial Labs, Loretta was a consultant with Big Stone Partners/Consus Corporation, an investment firm, where she provided both technical and marketing due diligence for new business opportunities and potential acquisitions.
Chris Fields, Technical Director
Chris Fields provides AFS with 10 years of technical experience in strategic product development within the food and beverage industries. Increasing product value through nutrition and science is her major area of focus at AFS.
Prior to AFS, Chris was part of the management team at Glucona America, Inc. where she served as Technical Director bridging the gap between research and development and marketing. Educating the food and beverage industries on the changing face of nutrition and achieving a higher rate of return or increased shelf space were a fundamental part of Chris' management direction.
Previous to Glucona America, Chris was a Project Manager for Cargill Foods where she played a role in both the engineering and operations of their key corn milling facilities, which produce corn syrups such as HFCS and Dextrose, Ethanol, Citric Acid, and Corn Oil, as well as several animal feed products. Her range of responsibilities included project engineering, operations management, product development and supervisor of three new-construction start-ups in Iowa, Nebraska, and Istanbul.
Chris holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and Chemical Engineering and Economics degrees from the University of Illinois.
Alan D. Andrews, J.D., Chief Operating Officer, Vice President
Alan D. Andrews provides valuable experience in corporate financing, corporate transactions, and intellectual property acquisition and licensing.
Prior to working with AFS, Alan was an attorney in a private law firm in Houston, Texas. Alan specialized in various types of commercial transactions, commercial litigation, and public finance.
Alan received his J.D., magna cum laude, from South Texas College of Law and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Allison C. Minton, Asst. Vice President of Operations
Allison Minton serves as Asst. Vice President of Operations at AFS. In this capacity, Allison manages all facets of the business, including invaluable support to customers and staff.
