Patented Calcium D-Glucarate
Featured in FLEX Magazine
AUSTIN, Texas--(BW HealthWire)--Jan. 14, 2002--Applied
Food Sciences Inc. (AFS(TM)) announced the review of
its patented Calcium D-Glucarate (CDG(TM)) in FLEX
magazine, the preeminent source of information on
diet and training for building muscle mass and strength.
The article, "The Toxic Avenger" was featured in
Dr. Jim Wright's column, "The Wright Stuff" in the
February 2002 issue of FLEX magazine. The article
focused on the following attributes of CDG:
- CDG is a detoxifying supplement that can help
enhance metabolism, recovery and growth.
- CDG is naturally found in fruits and vegetables
with the highest amounts in apples, grapefruits
and broccoli.
- Supplementing with CDG is important to bodybuilders
because it significantly boosts the body's capacity
to eliminate toxins and waste products and improves
androgen/estrogen balance.
"We are very pleased that after review of our extensive
research on CDG, Dr. Wright recognizes the benefit
that this product has in the practice of bodybuilding.
The fact that CDG helps the body eliminate toxins
as well as maintain hormone balance is very significant
to people interested in this area of fitness," said
Loretta Zapp, CEO of AFS.
"The response to the article has been enormous. We
are glad to see one of the most educated segments
of our industry endorse our product. We expect this
article to heighten the awareness of CDG's benefits
in the sports nutrition market," noted Lyndon Johnson,
vice president of sales and marketing for AFS.
